The University Of Nairobi, School Of Nursing Sciences Director Prof. Grace M. Omoni led other staff in an orientation for newly admitted students at the School on 27th September, 2016.
In her address, Prof Omoni congratulated the students for joining most prestigious University. She welcomed them to School. The Director further encouraged them to work hard in their studies and conduct themselves with highest levels of integrity. She urged them to address their problems through the acceptable channels of the University. The students were reminded to always register their courses online, pay fees before attending classes or getting any services in the University, Index with Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK). She asked them to desist from alcohol and drug abuse and encouraged those affected to get assistance in good time. Prof. Omoni urged them attend to all the scheduled lessons and clinical experiences punctually.
The Director reminded them to re-read the code of conduct and dress code which was provided to them during registration. She ended by wishing all new students the best as they begin the four year journey.
The School Thematic Unit Heads and other staff members who the encouraged the students to remain focused and learn by enjoying the course by not being “just a nurse” but a nurse with a difference.
