The staff mobility programme was an Erasmus+ project. Under this program, academic staff from the University of Nairobi visited Cyprus University of Technology. Members of the faculty of the University of Cyprus first visited the University of Nairobi. During the visit, they met the members of academic staff as well as students and presented their proposed areas of collaboration.

The Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in higher education. It seeks to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with third world countries. Under the program, the two universities discussed areas of further collaboration to include student and staff mobility, development of projects aimed at increasing visibility of higher education worldwide, and teaching/research collaboration.

During the visit to Cyprus, the University of Nairobi team consisting of Dr. Miriam Wagoro and Dorcas Maina met with the university’s rector Prof Andreas Anayiotos. He promised his support in any programs that the two universities would undertake.
