RAD-AID. Org radiology team donating the training equipment to the Department of Nursing Sciences.
The Department of Nursing Sciences hosted the point of care ultrasound training from 19th to 27th March, 2024.
The training was sponsored by the Philips Company and facilitated by RAD-AID.ORG Radiology.
The training attracted 22 learners who were trained in both class theory and practical sessions. The participants included Kenyatta National Hospital labor ward staff, Mbagathi Hospital staff, and University of Nairobi lecturers.
The Associate Dean of the Faculty of Health sciences, Prof. C F Otieno, graced the colorful closing ceremony as the guest of honor. The participants were awarded with certificates.
During the training, three days were dedicated to the Mbagathi Hospital MCH/FP antenatal mothers who underwent ultrasound screening as part of the training of the staff.
