SoNS receives donation of infrared thermometers in COVID-19 fight

Donation of thermoguns to the School of Nursing.

The School of Nursing Sciences (SoNS) in implementing UoN and MOH COVID-19 transmission prevention measures works with stakeholders from various sectors including alumni to ensure safety of staff and students within and beyond the SoNS environment.

In this regard, an alumnus of SONS, Mr. Sostine Makunja, the Director and Technical lead of M& E Advisory group donated infrared thermometers (thermoguns) and surgical masks to be used by SoNS as part of screening and containment of COVID-19.

The items will go a long way in supporting the COVID-19 containment measures that are being implemented in SONS guided by the College of Health Sciences, UoN and MOH administration.

The event took place on 31st March, 2021 at SoNS, Kenyatta National Hospital Campus.

On site to receive the donations were the Director, SoNS Dr. Miriam Wagoro and academic members of staff representing the school Dr. Lilian Omondi, Dr. Joyce Jebet and, Mrs Edith Mugane.
