First Lady calls on governments to invest more in nursing services

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta challenged governments to invest more resources in public health nursing so as to achieve aspirations of high quality healthcare provision for all.

According to the First Lady, public health nursing is central to the functioning of any health system and should therefore be adequately resourced in terms of manpower, equipment and continuous capacity building.

Clinical induction and mentorship on soft skills for BSCN year III students

The Midwifery/ Obstetrics Nursing Thematic Unit  held its inaugural soft skills mentorship for BSc. Nursing Year III students who are expected to proceed for clinical rotations placement in various hospitals in Nairobi County. 

This was held in the School of Nursing Sciences  Lecture room 3 on Wednesday 13th March, 2019 at 12.00 noon.

5th International Conference of Global Network of Public Health Nurses, Nairobi, Kenya

The Global Network of Public Health Nursing is delighted to be hosting our 5th International Conference in Kenya this year.

Hosted by:  The University of Nairobi – School of Nursing Sciences in conjunction with The Ministry of Health-Kenya

The conference will be held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi from 14th to 16th May 2019.
