Dr. Jebet presents at Small and Sick Newborn webinar by WHO

Dr. Joyce Jebet made a presentation titled the Kenya Experience on neonatal nursing training during a Small and Sick Newborn webinar series organized by World Health Organization.

Other panelists included Dr. Ornella Lincetto, Medical Officer, WHO and Dr. Laura Angwenyi, Head of Division, Newborn and Child Health, Ministry of Health, Kenya.

Emergency obstetric and neonatal care skills training

Post graduate students undertaking Master of Science in Midwifery and Paediatric Nursing were trained on emergency obstetric and neonatal care skills in a joint training session by the University of Nairobi (UoN) and Kenyatta University (KU).

The aim of the session was to demonstrate and allow the students to perform skills in emergency obstetric and neonatal care.

Curriculum review workshop

The Department of Nursing Sciences is in the process of reviewing all its curricular to incorporate the new developments in nursing and health sciences, and to build a quality curricular critical in teaching the nursing workforce and make them relevant to the dynamic needs of the society and for achievement of Kenya Vision 2030, SDG 3, African Union 2063 Agenda and Universal Health Coverage.
