The Department of Nursing Sciences is in the process of reviewing all its curricular to incorporate the new developments in nursing and health sciences, and to build a quality curricular critical in teaching the nursing workforce and make them relevant to the dynamic needs of the society and for achievement of Kenya Vision 2030, SDG 3, African Union 2063 Agenda and Universal Health Coverage.
The Department of Nursing Sciences, hosted Gary Nestrick, an International Radiology Nurse expert and a volunteer with RAD-AID team currently visiting Kenya.

The Visiting professor gave a Public Lecture and engaged with faculty and students and the Department of Nursing Sciences.
The two schools of Nursing are having exchange programs on clinical practicum of nursing students .
BScN first year students on their way for a visit and survey of Kawangware Open market as part of their course HNS 104: Nutrition and Health.
Students studying Diploma in Renal Nursing and the faculty from the Department of Nursing joined the Kenya Renal Association and the Kenya Renal Nursing Association in conducting free kidney screening in Narok County.
Apart from screening the public for renal disease, the staff and students also educated them on renal diseases.
Students studying Bachelor of Science in Nursing took part in One Health activities.
