University of Nairobi (UoN) moved its operations (that included teaching and learning) to online mode from mid March 2020 when the President pronounced a lockdown due to COVID-19 that devastated the whole world.

With the recent announcement of resumption of face to face learning by the UoN administration, and in line with the national guidelines, the School of Nursing Sciences (SONS) is working towards ensuring everyone’s safety within the school environment upon reopening.

Prof. Anna Karani was one of the recipients of the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear, a Presidential Award popularly known as M.B.S.

Prof. Karani's name and the names of other recipients were published in the Kenya Gazzette dated 20th December, 2019.

Vincent Mukhtar, a PhD student at the University of Nairobi (UoN) School of Nursing Sciences (SONS) is happy to have defended his thesis in an online session.

This was a breakaway from the normal norm where the defense would be done face to face. Normally, the student would face a panel and present his/her thesis and later on respond to questions from the panelists.

This webinar focuses on discussing and sharing experiences on overarching ethical-legal issues that create concerns for nurses.
