Students’ community outreach in Sabaki and Mlolongo

Nairobi University Nursing Students Association (NUNSA) alongside Love Foundation, Delight and Hope hosted a community outreach event in Sabaki and Mlolongo, Machakos County.

The event brought together seven children's home attended by 400 kids.

First Lady calls on governments to invest more in nursing services

First Lady Margaret Kenyatta challenged governments to invest more resources in public health nursing so as to achieve aspirations of high quality healthcare provision for all.

According to the First Lady, public health nursing is central to the functioning of any health system and should therefore be adequately resourced in terms of manpower, equipment and continuous capacity building.

Clinical induction and mentorship on soft skills for BSCN year III students

The Midwifery/ Obstetrics Nursing Thematic Unit  held its inaugural soft skills mentorship for BSc. Nursing Year III students who are expected to proceed for clinical rotations placement in various hospitals in Nairobi County. 

This was held in the School of Nursing Sciences  Lecture room 3 on Wednesday 13th March, 2019 at 12.00 noon.

Helping Babies Breath (HBB)

The School of Nursing Sciences is preparing for the 2nd African neonatal nursing conference to be held on 14th and 15th November 2019. The conference which will be in Nairobi Kenya will be hosted by the School of Nursing Sciences (SONS), University of Nairobi in collaboration with the Council of International Neonatal Nurses (COINN. The Helping Babies Breath training was held as a pre-conference for the upcoming conference.

HIPPOCRATIC OATH BY GRADUATES FROM THE SCHOOL OF DENTAL SCIENCES CLASS 2017

The School of Dental Sciences held its Hippocratic Oath ceremony for the graduates of class 2017 on Friday 17th November 2017 at the School of Dental Sciences.

The oath was administered by Dr. Regina J. Mutave – Dean School of Dental Sciences, to the (20) Bachelor of Dental Surgery students who qualified for the award of Degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery by the University of Nairobi.
